How to Get Glossy Hair
We all want soft, glossy hair, and there are lots of things you can do to achieve it!
Glossy hair: we all want it, but for many of us, it feels impossible to achieve. If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place. At Beauty It Is, not only do we offer the best hair products available, we also have the know-how to help you achieve the glossy hair you want. Here are a few things you can do to achieve soft, glossy hair:
#1. Brush the right way
If you brush your hair too vigorously, you could end up damaging it, which leaves you with dull, lifeless locks. You should also avoid brushing your hair when it is wet because it is particularly prone to damage and can easily break if you brush too vigorously.
#2. Keep it hydrated
If your hair is damaged due to dyeing it or styling it, then you may need to provide your hair with a little extra moisture than your regular conditioner provides. A leave-in-conditioner, like Creme of Nature With Argan Oil, is a great option when you need some additional moisture.
#3. Don’t over-wash it
Unless you regularly use a large amount of product in your hair, you don’t need to wash it on a daily basis. In fact, it’s terrible for your hair to wash it too often, because the shampoo strips of the natural oils that protect it. Over-washed hair is often dull and lifeless hair, so let your hair rest a day or two in between washes.
#4. Wash in cold water
When you do wash your hair, avoid washing it in hot water. Hot water strips your hair of moisture and leaves it looking dull. It’s also a good idea to finish your shower by rinsing your hair in cold water. This will help to lock in the moisture, making your hair look shinier and smoother.
#5. Be careful with heat
For some women, air drying their hair just takes way too long, but it’s important not to overdo it with hair dryers and other hot styling products. If you expose your hair to too much heat, it will start to become dry and brittle. Limit the use of your hair dryer, straightener and other hot styling products to once or twice a week.
#6. Take care of split ends
There is a common myth that split ends cause your hair to stop growing, and while that’s false, split ends should still be taken care of on a regular basis because they can make your hair look dull. Split ends can also travel up the hair shaft, spreading the damage.
#7. Choose the right products
Not all hair products are made equal, and if you want beautiful, glossy hair, you need to invest in the right products.
